B.A. Art in Graphic Design
At the University of Wyoming, the B.A. Art program is designed to help undergraduate students develop the technical skills, conceptual thinking abilities, and understanding of art history for creating their own artistic voice. In addition to nine other concentrations, the Graphic Design option is offered to prepare students specifically for shaping visual representations in analog and/or digital form. Courses will introduce topics like drawing, digital media, color theory, 3D design, printmaking, digital photography, sculpture, art history, and communications. Through studio projects and real-world internships, the 122-credit program produces competent graphic designers with the know-how to enter the visual and material culture of design. Students can also participate in the college’s Student Art League for other hands-on learning activities.
